Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 17, 2026

1. Overview

This website is operated by Misfit Academy ("we," "our," or "us") and powered by Stageworks, a platform that provides event management, ticketing, and communication tools for venues and organizations.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information when you use this website or interact with our services. Stageworks is committed to protecting your privacy and complying with applicable data protection laws.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the information needed to operate our events and communicate with our patrons, which may include:

• Account and Patron Information: Your name, email address, and contact details when you register for an event, create an account, or purchase tickets.
• Payment Information: Payment details processed securely by Stageworks' payment partners (such as Stripe). We do not store full credit card numbers.
• Communication Information: Email or SMS messages sent through the portal (e.g., ticket confirmations, event reminders, or updates).
• Usage Information: Basic analytics such as logins, page views, and device data used to maintain and improve system performance.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Process registrations and ticket purchases;
• Send event confirmations, updates, and reminders;
• Provide customer support;
• Maintain the safety, reliability, and functionality of the website; and
• Comply with legal and financial obligations.

Neither Misfit Academy nor Stageworks sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. SMS and Email Communications

If you receive text messages or emails from this website, it is because:

• You opted in during registration or purchase; or
• You have a relationship with this organization through Stageworks.

You can opt out of SMS or email communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in the message.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

This website stores on your device only what it needs to work. There are no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking, and no third-party analytics that build a profile of you.

What is stored:

• Session cookie. Keeps your cart and your sign-in intact while you use the site. It expires after 24 hours and is strictly necessary — the site cannot take an order without it.
• Sign-in convenience cookie. Set once you have verified an email address or phone number, so the sign-in form opens on the right step with the field already filled in. It is never proof of identity: a fresh code is still required every time you sign in.
• Payment security cookies. Set by Stripe, our payment processor, to detect fraud while you are paying. They load only on checkout pages and not while you are browsing the rest of the site.

Page analytics. We count page views to see which pages get used. Visits are identified by a one-way hash that is re-salted every day, so it cannot be traced back to you or followed from one day to the next. No raw visit records are kept and nothing is written to your device.

Error reporting. When something breaks we collect the error and the performance trace around it, so we can fix it. We do not record your session — there is no screen or keystroke recording on this site — and error reporting stores nothing on your device.

Embedded video. Pages with a video show a still image rather than a player. Nothing is requested from YouTube, and YouTube stores nothing on your device, until you press play. From the moment you do, YouTube's own privacy terms apply to that playback.

Anything Misfit Academy adds. Misfit Academy can add its own scripts to this website. Anything it adds is outside the list above and is Misfit Academy's responsibility, including obtaining any consent that its use requires.

6. Data Sharing and Subprocessors

We share data only as necessary to operate the portal. This includes:

• Stageworks, which provides the technology platform and secure hosting;
• Payment processors for secure payment handling; and
• Communication providers for delivering email and SMS messages.

All partners are contractually required to protect your data and comply with applicable privacy standards.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide services, fulfill legal obligations, or resolve disputes. Ticket and event records may be retained as required by applicable accounting or venue regulations.

8. Security

Stageworks uses industry-standard security measures, including encryption, access controls, and secure hosting environments, to protect personal information from unauthorized access or misuse.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access or request a copy of your information;
• Request correction or deletion; or
• Withdraw consent for communications.

To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@stageworks.io.

10. Third-Party Links

This website may include links to external sites not operated by Misfit Academy or Stageworks. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites.

11. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Any changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of this portal after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
